Gloria Jean Poole

Funeral services for Gloria Jean Pauley Poole age 74, of Grayson will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Riser Funeral Home with Bro. Shane Duke officiating and Bro. Eric Harrimon assisting. Interment will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery, Clarks, LA. Visitation will be Monday, April 11, 2022, at Riser Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Gloria Jean was born August 23, 1947 in Columbia, to the union of her parents, Lawrence David Pauley and Clara Newman Pauley Malcomb, and she passed from this life on April 9, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Gloria worked for the Caldwell Parish School System at the Canning Center before retiring. She loved spending time with her family and friends, whether it was going to the kids ballgames, barrel races, or road trips to anywhere. One of her favorite things to do was go to the Casino. Her love for Elvis Presley was like no other and was evident by her large Elvis collection. Gloria loved it outside, especially getting to mow her yard. 

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; her life long companion, Enoch Poole; her infant son; her sister, Mary Franklin; a niece and three nephews.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her children: Cathy Dunn (Eddie), Charles "Brother" Oxner (Kelly), and Nancy Broussard (David); half-brother, Charles johnson;  grandchildren: Amber Silvie (Jeff), Madalyn Howard (Ethan), MaKayla Dunn (Ben), Cady Oxner, Jonathon Broussard, Shay Sims (Brandon); great-grandchildren: Eli Young, EJ Howard, Ellie Young, Riley Sims, and Audrey Sims.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tracey Pauley, Terry Pauley, Kenneth Fatheree, Craig McMullen, Mike Hogg, and Cliff Murphy. Honorary pallbearers are Elbert Lee Pauley, Henry Lee Nelson, and Carol "Wop" Harper.
