Gladys Carol Martin

Graveside services for Gladys Carol Martin, age 75 of Walker, Louisiana, will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 10, 2021, at the Harris Chapel Cemetery, Hwy 124 East (Rosefield Rd.), Olla, LA with Bro. Shane Duke officiating.

Gladys Carol Martin was born on May 3, 1946, at Redfield, Arkansas to the union of her parents, Carl Faye Horn and Marion Ward Holland and she passed from this life on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at the Guest House in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Huey Pierce Martin; her brother, Tony Holland; and a grandson, Brandon Long. Mrs. Martin loved to read, work in her yard and be outside. She also loved to work in genealogy.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Michael Martin (Teresa); daughter, Lisa Cummins; a sister, Marilyn Bourg (Chet); her beloved grandchildren: Shera Malone, Sara Ann Martin, Zane Malone, Shanna Malone; and six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers any planned memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
