Gladys Ann Brown Farrington

Funeral services for Gladys Ann Brown Farrington will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Welcome Home Baptist Church in Hebert, La with Bro. Jim McKeithen officiating with interment following at Adams Cemetery in Grayson La. under the direction of Riser Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, October 27, 2023. Gladys was born January 14, 1951 in Kilburn LA to the union of her parents Leon Brown and Winnie Myers Brown and passed away from this life October 23, 2023 at Hardtner Medical Center. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, her mother and father-in-law, Bessie and Jim Farrington; grandson, Christopher Lyn Simons; and her son-in-law, Lyndall Ray Simons. Gladys was a hard worker. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Gladys loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking, eating, crocheting, shopping (especially Cato's), and traveling. Gladys had a huge heart and loved going to church worshiping God. She had health problems over the past year but fought hard as she could until the end.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ronnie Farrington; daughters: Lea Ann Simons and Mechiel Gremillion; sons: Ron Farrington and Eric Farrington; grandchildren: Christian Simons, Sara Simons, Doryn Gremillion, Eric Gremillion, Derrick Gremillion, Amber Farrington, and Paige Farrington; great-grandchildren: Anna Binkley and Gracie Binkley; and her precious fur-babies, Stinky, PeePee, and Skippy.

Pallbearers include Ron Farrington, Eric Farrington, Brandon Dean, Sam Smith, Christopher Woolsey, and Eric Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Derrick Gremillion, Eric Gremillion, Doryn Gremillion, and Tanner Cubbit.
