Graveside funeral services for Georgia T. Whitehead, 77 of Columbia will be held 10:00 AM Friday, June 10, 2016 at the Antioch Cemetery near Summerville under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Visitation will be on Thursday June 9, 2016 at the Riser Funeral Home, Columbia from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Georgia Whitehead was born on January 4, 1939 at Rosefield, LA to the union of her parents Eber Shelf Whitehead and Naomi Beatrice Pool and she passed from this life on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Whitehead was a member of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and by her brother, Glen Roark Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are her children: Son: Tommy Phillips of Columbia ; two daughters: Shelah Nevitt of Minden, LA and Vicki Froust of Columbia; two sisters: Gwen Roark of Olla and Kathrine Stamper of Clarrence, LA; seven grandchildren: Billy McClure, Amy Fryar Bradley, Eber McClure, Justin Phillips, Ruby McClure Calhoun, Jesse McClure, Zachary Phillips; fourteen great-grandchildren and her companion: Roger Williams. Serving as pallbearers will be Billy McClure, Eber McClure, Jesse McClure, Justin Phillips, Zachary Phillips, Bobby Bradley.
