Funeral services for Georgia White Hodges, age 72 of West Monroe, formerly of Enterprise, will be held at 2 PM Saturday, January 3, 2015 from the sanctuary of New Ouachita Baptist Church, Enterprise, LA with Bro. James King officiating. Interment will follow in Rosefield Cemetery, Harrisonburg, LA.
Visitation will be Saturday at New Ouachita Baptist Church from 11 AM until time of services at 2 PM.
Mrs. Hodges was born on February 27, 1942 in Holum, LA to the union of Linus Bruce White and Florence Spruell White and passed to her Heavenly home on Tuesday, December 30, 2014. She was a home maker who took care of others, especially her friends at Lake Passman. The joy of her life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was loved by her family and they realize the gift she was as a mother and grandmother and that she will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wilber Hodges; brother, Larry White and grandson, Austin Blake Roberts.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons: Charles Poole and wife, Tammy of West Monroe and Marty Poole of Wichita Falls, TX; daughters: Shellie Carroll and husband, Shane of West Monroe and Tammy Hendricks and husband, Ricky of West Monroe; step-children: Raymond Hodges of St. Francisville and Anita Sones and husband, Harold of Harrisonburg; sisters: Freddie Keene and husband, Harold of West Monroe, Carlye Poole and husband, Terry of Swartz and Sherry Miller and husband, Clyde of West Monroe; grandchildren: Kensley Bradford, Cole Carroll, Meagan Carroll, Leah Poole, Hally Poole, Robert Poole, Colby Roberts, Sierra Holloway, Ashlyn Poole and Braden Poole; step-grandchildren: Leighton Hodges, Macy Hodges Barker, Valerie May Butts, Chandice Boothe, Brandi Bordelon and Andrew Sones; great-grandchildren: Cooper Holloway, Paisley Holloway, Jameson Roberts, Emma Kate Poole and step-great-grandchildren: Anna Butts, Bryce Butts and Aubrey Rose Boothe.
Pallbearers will be Earl Isonhood, Mickey McGuffee, Frank Sheppard, Jerry Eubanks, John Ed Bartmess, Nathan Roark and Brian Wade.
