Georgia "Missy" Conner

Funeral services for Georgia Sims Conner known to everyone as “Missy” will be held at 1 PM, Wednesday, December 29, 2021, from the sanctuary of Columbia Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce McGee and Rev. Joe Aguillard officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery at Grayson under the direction of Riser Funeral Home. The Connor Family will host visitation on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Columbia Heights Baptist Church from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Missy was born on November 25, 1972, at Columbia, LA to the union of her parents, Edward Sims and Francis Olerene Moore Sims, and she passed from this life on December 23, 2021, at her residence in Kelly, LA. Some of the things Missy enjoyed in life were eating ice and watching the ID Channel, especially Yellowstone and the Walking Dead; she loved her Ford Mustang and playing with her grandchildren especially the game, “Spilling the Tea”, and she loved to shop with Niki, Bug, and Ronni. Missy was an Administrative Assistant with the Caldwell Parish Sheriff's Office where she was a faithful and dedicated employee. She wore with pride and thanksgiving the titles of loving mother, sister, wife, grandmother, and aunt.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Kevin Conner of Kelly; her daughters: Niki Harper “Ethel Jane" and Ronni Sims “Lulu” (Kit Edwards); her stepdaughter, Cheyanne Conner; her step-sons: Dakota Conner and Mason Conner; her sister, Charlene Allen (Darrell Davis); her grandmother, Marie Horton; and her aunt, Mary Horton. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Jude Wyles, Charlie “Lucy” Wyles, and Mary Love; her niece, Haley Cherneski; and her nephew, Jamie Allen; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Moore, Shaun Moore, Kevin Wyles, Blake Wyles, Wop Harper and Charlie Horton. Honorary pallbearers include Jude Wyles, Tater, Lucy Wyles, Niki Harper, Jamie Allen, Lulu, Sheriff Clay Bennett, Michael Crain, and David Callendar.
