Services for Gary Wilson Prudhomme, age 57 of Grayson, will be 2 PM Thursday, September 4, 2008, from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Jimmy Goodman and Bro. Rodney Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson. Visitation will be Wednesday evening 5 PM to 9 PM and again Thursday morning 10 AM until service time. Gary Prudhomme was born November 29, 1950 in Jena, LA to the union of Clarence Edward Sr. and Leva Stutson Prudhomme and passed away Sunday, August 31, 2008 at his residence. He was a member of Holum Baptist Church and was a mechanic in the oil fields. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Norma Chapman. Survivors include his wife; Betty Sweet Prudhomme of Grayson, three sons; Brent Prudhomme and his wife, Jessica of Bamburg, Germany, Bubba Flores and his wife, Gail of Grayson and Josh Flores of Grayson, two brothers; Clarence Prudhomme, Jr. and his wife, Shirley of Georgetown, SC and Douglas Prudhomme and his wife, Carolyn of Nebo, four grandchildren; Lacy Prudhomme, Hailey Prudhomme, Logan Prudhomme and Tanner Flores and mother-in-law; Allie Mae Sweet. Pallbearers will be David Touchstone, Steve Tucker, Mike Crain, Cleve Womack, Tony Weeks and Charles Braddock. Honorary pallbearers are Harvey Cowen, Tillman Sweet, James Palmer, Bob Harrison and Billy Harrison.
