Frank Crick

Funeral services for Frank D. Crick age 88, of Olla will be held 1pm Saturday July 16, 2011 from the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Olla with Rev. Doctor Paul Curtis Carroll and Rev. Aaron Carpenter officiating. The service will honor Mr. Crick for his service to the Olla Volunteer Fire Department. Interment will follow in the Olla Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Riser Funeral Home in Olla on Friday evening from 4:30pm until 8pm. Frank Delane Crick was born on January 7, 1923 at Olla, LA to the union of his parents Frank Polk Crick and Florence Arnett Hebert Crick. He passed from this life on July 12, 2011 at his residence in Olla . He was a honorably discharged United States Navy Veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Governor Crick, his brother Andy Crick, his sister Zora Lee Rogers, his daughter Francis Denise Sanders, his brother Claude Crick, niece Jane Kaufman, his wife Ruth Nona Crick, and his grandson Ronnie Neil Sanders. Survivors include his son, Dennis Crick of Olla; four nephews, Charles Crick of Shreveport, John Crick of Monroe, Robert Crick of San Diego, CA; and Jack Crick of Shreveport; four nieces, Nelda Allbritton of Orange, TX; Joel Trimble of Shelby, Al; Nan Jennings of Birmingham, AL; and Beverly Craighead of Calhoun. Pallbearers include James Coleman, Phil Coleman, Ray B. Miller, Glynn Black,Bobby Strozier, and Kim Taylor.Honorary pallbearers include Dandy Dove, John Heath, and members of the Olla Volunteer Fire Department.
