Funeral services for Frances “Rena” Moore Tidwell, age 62 of Columbia, will be held at 2 PM Sunday, August 7, 2016 from the sanctuary of Columbia Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Aguillard and Bro. Bruce McGee officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery, Grayson.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Columbia Heights Baptist from 5 PM to 9 PM.
Rena was born on June 11, 1954 in Monroe, LA to the union of her parents, Nervie Moore and Georgia Ann Sanders Moore and passed from this life on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Citizens Medical Center, Columbia. She worked as a cashier, owned Moore Habits in Columbia, but her most beloved job was being a Mama to her family as well as other members of the community. She enjoyed sewing and quilting. Rena was a sister of The Band M. C., and definitely left her mark on Caldwell Parish being a friend and confidant of many. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and told those close to her, “love you, Hawa Hawa Der.”
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ronnie Allen; sisters: Lucille Varnell, Betty Faye Wheat, and Ellen Inez Moore; brothers: Roy G. Moore, Donald W. Moore, Billy R. Moore, William Moore and Jimmy Moore and best friend, Kaylene Benson.
Those left to cherish her memory are, her husband, Sam E. Tidwell of Columbia; daughters: Missy Conner and husband, Kevin of Kelly and Charlene “Bug” Allen Earls and husband, Johnny of Columbia; niece she claimed as daughter, Lynn “Bell Bell” Linton; brothers: Clarence Moore and wife, Peggy, Dale Moore and wife, Kathy and Buddy Moore; grandchildren: Niki Wyles and husband, Blake, Ronni Sims, Haley Allen, James Allen, Dakota Conner, Cheyanne Conner, Mason Conner, Heather Earls and Amie Earls; great-grandchildren: Jude Wyles, Charlie Grace Wyles, John Conner and Josey Smith; special friends: Buster Curry, Debbie Hill and Belinda Woodruff; a host of nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
Pallbearers will be Damien Moore, Shaun Moore, Jason Moore, Niki Wyles, Meagan Haydel Patton and Bambi Haydel Patton. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Jarrett, B.K. Woodruff, Kevin Conner, Johnny Earls, James Allen, Jude Wyles, Buster Curry, Blake Wyles, Lowell Cherneski, Kevin Wyles, Lane Linton and Trade Linton.
