Flora Bell Wilkinson

Funeral Services for Flora Bell Grant Wilkinson age 88, of Monroe, Louisiana will be held Sunday, August 29, 2021, at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, with Rev. Wesley Manning officiating. Burial will follow at Little Star Cemetery in Grayson, LA under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home. Visitation will start at 1:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Flora was born on January 7, 1933, in Kelly, Louisiana to the union of her parents, Luther Grant and Lottie Cruse Grant and passed from this life August 23, 2021, at the Savannah Grand in West Monroe. Flora was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Tony Sward and Don Wilkinson, brothers: Jairl Grant, Bryant Grant, Sidney Grant, Johnny Grant, and Garland Grant, sisters: Velma Martin and Lottie Mae Martin. Flora was a member of McGuire Methodist Church in West Monroe, LA. She was a very sassy but classy lady. She loved cooking, traveling, flowers, and Saints football. She was known as the “bossy” one. She was a social butterfly who loved decorating for holidays, planning get togethers, and just living life. Those left to cherish her memory are a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers include Matthew Bearden, Trey Bearden, Marty Hart, Chadd Roberts, and Jerry Johnson. Honorary Pallbearer is Eddie Grant.
