Ezelle Gregory

Services for Mrs. Ezelle Mixon Gregory, age 87 of Columbia, will be at 2:30 PM on Sunday, November 29, 2009, from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia with Rev. Dominick DiCarlo officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery of Grayson. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon at the funeral home from 1 PM until time of service. Mrs. Gregory was born on April 17, 1922 in Bienville to the union of James O. Caskey and Naomi Ruth Cox Caskey and passed from this life on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at the LaSalle Nursing Home of Jena. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband of 45 years; Lee Roy Mixon, second husband of 20 years; Jacel Leo Gregory, son; Otis Trent Mixon and a sister; Rookh McDonald. Survivors include her daughter; Anita Mixon Pierce of Natchitoches, son; James R. Mixon and wife, Margaret of Jena, sister; Fern Loupe and husband, Denver of Baton Rouge, five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jerry Griggs, Stephen Loupe, Dan McDonald, John Wesley McKeithen, James Mixon, John Patterson, Todd Patterson, Randy Pierce and Rick Pierce.
