Mr. Wyles was born in Gilbert, LA on September 27, 1932 to the union of Benjamin Franklin and Mary Isabell Coody Wyles and went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at his residence. He performed at the Grand Ole Opry and had a song make it to the country charts. But, being the patriot that he was he chose a military life. Gene will be remembered as a great man who was giving and loving to all. He enjoyed his music and being in the outdoors hunting or fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother; Benjamin Wesley Wyles and sister; Odell Phillips.
