Ervin Carr

Funeral services for Ervin Carr age 87 of Kelly will be held 10am Tuesday Nov.3,2009 from the Columbia Chapel of Riser Funeral Home with Bro.Ralph McClary officiating. Interment will follow in the Fellowship Cemetery west of Columbia. Ervin Lee Carr was born on April 27,1922 to his parents the late Jaybe Lee and Lemora (Dortch) Carr. He passed from this life peacefully at home on Sat. Oct 31 with his family by his side. He was a veteran of World War II and a lifelong resident of Caldwell Parish, and a retired log cutter. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brothers Arlen , Verley, and Vaden Carr; and by one grandson Jeffrey Langley. Survivors include: His wife:of 57 years Mrs. Mary Catherine (Ballard) Carr of Kelly. Daughters: Lela Jane Flores and husband Gary of Grayson, Peggy Coates of Mobile,AL and husband Leroy of Kelly; and Alice Marie Braddock and husband Mark of Grayson. One son: Ervia Dan Carr and his wife Tammy of Kelly. He also leaves nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
