Ernest Garner

Ernest L. Garner, Mason, ordained deacon and active member of the First Baptist Church of Rock Hill, SC passed away at age 74 on March 28, 2015 in Pineville, NC due to cancer complications. He was a current resident of Rock Hill, SC. He was born July 19, 1940 in Columbia, La. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marie Garner; his son Richard; grandchildren, Charlie, Storm, Nathan and Aidan; great grandchildren, Anakai and Greyson; and sister Shirley Mullenix and her husband George. He is predeceased by his parents Charlie and Rosalie Garner and his brothers J.V. and Wilbur. He was a graduate of Columbia High School and Northeast Louisiana University now University of Louisiana Monroe. Ernest retired from the West Monroe, LA Fire Department and Lallie Kemp Hospital in Indpendence, La and was enjoying retirement as a favored school bus driver. His memorial service will be on Friday, April 24th at 1:00 p.m. in Hebert, LA at the Hebert United Methodist Church where he will be laid to rest. Memorial donations should be sent to Gideon?s International, the Carolina HealthCare Foundation, the Wounded Warrior Foundation, or to a cause/charity of one?s choice. He was a man of God.
