Funeral services for Mr. Emmett Lee Brown, age 96 of Grayson, will be held at 1 PM Monday, February 28, 2011 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Jerry Hendrickson officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson. Visitation will be Sunday evening at the funeral home from 5 PM to 8 PM. Mr. Brown was born on June 16, 1914 in Pleasant Hill, LA to the union of Tallie David Brown and Cora Robbins Brown and passed from this life on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, LA. He was a Mason and a Shriner and attended Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; Clyda Biggs Brown, son; Bobby Brown, brother; Thomas Brown and sister; Faye Knight. Survivors include his son; James Brown and wife, Peggy of Natchitoches, grandchildren: Deborah Brown, James C.L. Brown, Nathan Brown, Randy Wilson, Janice "Cissy" Wilson and Steve Wilson and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Mitch Bratton, Tony Little, David Aufier, Joe Fisher, Jeremy Lee and Terry Nugent. Honorary pallbearers will be Maurice Mercer and Buddy Nugent.
