Funeral services for Mrs. Emily Doris McKee Oliveaux age 80 of Columbia will be held Sunday May 16, 2010 at 2pm from the Columbia chapel of Riser funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Evans officiating. Interment will follow in the Rosefield Cemetery east of Grayson. Mrs. Oliveaux died Thursday May 13, 2010 at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe. Born to one of five siblings to the union of L.D. Griffin,Sr. and Bessie Cassels Griffin, she was born on October 29, 1929 at Monroe,LA. She was married to the father of her children M H McKee who predeceased her and was also preceded in death by her second husband Clayton Oliveaux, and by her brother L D Griffin, Jr. She was an active member of the Sandy Bayou Baptist Church and was loved by all who knew her. Survivors include two sons: Melvin McKee and wife Renee of Rayville and Charles Wayne McKee of Start. Two daughters: Charlotte Smith and husband Stanley of Grayson, and Beverly May and husband Louis of Columbia. Her Step Sons: Billy Ray Oliveaux and Jerry Oliveaux both of Columbia. Her step daughters: Joyce Canterberry and Ellen Wyant both of Grayson. Two brothers: Bennie & Juanita Griffin of Stafford, Kansas and Billy Wayne Griffin and wife Kathleen of Columbia. One sister: Edna White Gunn of Enterprise. Also eleven grandchildren, twenty seven grandchildren, and one great great grand child. Serving as pallbearers will be Wade Escalon, Greg Welch, Primo Sanchez, Craig Roark, David Kukal, Donald Griffin,Jonathan Kramer and Sonny Norrell. Honorary pallbearers include Jeff McKee, Ronnie Skains, Bennie Lynn Griffin, Johnny Gunn, Archie Harold Wyant,Todd Griffin, Lamar Jackson,Johnny Mc kee, Tate Creel Visitation will be on Saturday evening May 15 from 4pm to 8pm.
