Elsie Mae Barton

Funeral services for Mrs. Elsie Mae Barton, age 89 of Clarks, will be held 12:00 PM Noon, on Saturday, May 25, 2024, from the Columbia chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Jack McKeithen officiating.  Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery at Grayson. The Barton Family will receive visitors on Friday, May 24, 2024, at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Elsie Mae Barton was born on February 21, 1935, at Winnsboro, LA, to the union of her parents, Morgan Bruce and Annie Brown Bruce, and she passed from this life suddenly on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at her residence in Clarks.

She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Willie Barton; and three children: O J Dilley Jr., James Daniel Dilley, and Angie Dilley.

She leaves behind her sons, Jerry Dilley (Robin Shelton) of Clarks and Bubba Barton of Clarks; two daughters, Peggy Smith (John) of Missouri and Aimee Barton of Oklahoma, and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cullen Hatten, Johnny Cole, Floyd Bergeron, Eric Benson, and Chris Stamper.
