Elizabeth Ann Duke Parham Proverbs 31 25 Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. 26 She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. 27 She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. 28 Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 29 "Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all." 30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Elizabeth Ann Parham,age 73 of Olla was born on May 30, 1942 at Olla, LA to the union of her parents Lloyd Ray Duke and Daphne Mary Cupples Duke. She passed from this life on Thursday November 5, 2015 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria following an extended illness. Mrs. Parham had worked throughout her life in various medical offices including that of Dr. K. P. Mauterer and Dr. Harry H. Winters, her last being Hardtner Medical Center in Urania with fourteen years of service. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Olla. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her sister: Katherine Eads. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM on Tuesday November 10, 2015 from the sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Olla with Rev. Lee Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Urania Cemetery with services under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla. Visitation will be at the church on Monday November 9, 2015 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Left to cherish her memory: her husband Mr. Ray Edward Parham of Olla, two sons: Craig Parham (Tiffany) of Olla, Corey Parham (Ronda) of Olla; two daughters: Felicia Parham Bradford ( Thomas M.) of Georgetown, Cheryl Rankin (John David) of Tullos; three brothers: Ray Duke, and Mike Duke both of Olla and Lynn Duke of Jena; her sister: Deany Stegall of Liberty, Mississippi; ten grandchildren: Chet Atkins (Markesha),Austin (Ashtin)Bradford, Emily Rankin, John Garrett Rankin, Lucas Parham, Keeley Parham, Noah Parham, Mattie Grace Parham, Alan Parham, and Alaina Parham; her great-grandchildren: Chloe Davis, Morgan Mercer, Luke Mercer, Baron Atkins, Carson Atkins, and soon to be born, Eden Rose Bradford. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Barnhill, Brett Hester, Buck Borland, Derek White, Brian Rankin,Joel Sims and Jason Humphries.
