Edward Dawson Dunn was born on October 27, 1944, in Monroe, Louisiana to the union of his parents, Isaac Dunn and Norma Moak Dunn, and went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at St. Frances Medical Center in Monroe. Eddie, as he was known by all, was a member of Crossroads Cowboy Church in West Monroe and was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Edie, his in-laws Epp and Elizabeth Norsworthy, his sweet sister Bonnie Williams, his brother Harold Dunn, and granddaughter Christy Dunn.
Taking care of grandkids and playing music were his passions. He was a Vietnam Veteran of the US Air Force and served proudly as an Air Force police officer. In his younger days he was an avid horseback rider and he loved his horse Dude and he loved to rodeo.
Looking forward to a heavenly reunion, Eddie leaves behind four sons: Jim Dunn and wife Shanna of Elkhart, TX, Kenny Dunn and wife Penny of Grayson, Eddie Dunn and wife Cathy of Pistol Thicket, and Glenn Dunn and wife Shari of Grayson; two daughters: Barbara Dunn of Grayson and Terry Gowan and husband Jim of Grayson; two brothers: Jackie Dunn and wife Carolyn of West Monroe and Kenneth Dunn of Kelly. Seven grandchildren: Neal Miller, Lillie Gowan and fiancé Dakota, Makayla Fuller and husband Ben, Jake Watson, Caitlyn Ford, Victor Fugate, and Garrett Gowan; great-granddaughter, Paislee Ramsey; honorary daughter Dana Smith and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
