Funeral services for Earlbert "Bo Pete" Weed, Jr. 56 of Hebert will be held 2:00pm Friday July 31, 2015 from the sanctuary of International House of Prayer, formerly Woolen Lake Church of God with Rev. Brian Rankin and Rev. Jerry Wayne Hendrixson officiating. Interment will follow in the Etier Cemetery at Hebert under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Visitation will be on Thursday July 30, 2015 at the church from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Earlbert Weed Jr. was born on April 8, 1959 at Rayville, Louisiana to the union of his parents, Earlbert "Bo" Weed, Sr. and Dora Fife Weed, and he passed from this life on Tuesday July 28, 2015 at the Franklin Parish Medical Center in Winnsboro following a lengthy illness. "Bo Pete, as he was known, was a former member of the Woolen Lake Church of God where he was extremely active and faithful. He played drums for the Mills Family, the Stamper Family, and the McClanahan Family. He enjoyed duck hunting and played the role as gunsmith for his family and friends. "Bo Pete" was loved by everyone who knew him and he will never be forgotten. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his loving sister Judy Weed Maxwell. Left to cherish his memory his beloved wife Diane Weed of Hebert; his brothers-in-law: Allen Maxwell of Hebert, Ronald Schoolcraft and Rickye Schoolcraft of West Monroe; his nieces: Nikki Clark and husband Coty of Hebert and Christy Carr and husband Peanut of Columbia; his special great nephews: Jeremiah Clark, Luke Clark, and Ethan Carr; his great niece: Brooklyn Carr, and a host of uncles,aunts,cousins,friends and family. Serving as pallbearers will be Glenn Dunn, Tommy Cumpton, Dennis Mullenix, Kerry Paul Franklin, Ethan Carr, Kenny Womack, Keith Fife and Brian Fife. Honorary pallbearers include Sonny Dyer, Jimmy Strickland, Roy Clark, III; James Mills, John Quaid, Harold Dulaney, Donnie Carson, and Brad Carson. In lieu of flowers any planned memorials may be made to the Gideons, any church building fund, or a charity of ones choice.
