Dustin Lane Thomason

Funeral services for Dustin Lane Thomason, age 23, of Odessa, Texas and formerly of Columbia will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, March 29, 2023, from the sanctuary of Fellowship Baptist Church, west of Columbia. The family will have visitation on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, from 5 PM until 8 PM at the church. Arrangements are under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia.

Dustin Lane was born on October 15, 1999, at Alexandria, LA to the union of his parents, Johnny Lee Thomason and Amanda Lynn Clark, and he passed from this life, tragically on Thursday, March 23, 2023, in West Texas from injuries received in a motorcycle accident. The foremost love of Dustin's life was the love for his kids and his family. He loved the great outdoors and was an avid sportsman and loved fishing and kayaking. He was known for his good heart and would give anyone the shirt off his back. He also loved to cook. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Curt Clark, Sr., Carlotta McKinney, Mabel and Earl Clark, and Mamie and Vernon Thomason.

Those left to cherish his beautiful life are his children: Marshall Thomason, Roman Bettevy and Sophia Reign Thomason; his mother, Amanda Soileau of Shreveport;  his father, Johnny L. Thomason of Bunkie; his brothers, Tommy Joseph Thomason and Austin Soileau; his grandparents, Connie and Roy Carr of Columbia; great grandparents; Tannis and Carlotta Desselle; uncle, Curt Clark of Bunkie; aunt, Carlotta Patton of Mansfield, Texas; his nephews and niece: Jasper Soileau, Curtlin Clark, and Jayden Abbott and Curstian Clark.

Serving as pallbearers will be Carson Babbs, Gabe Lachney, Austin Soileau, Cleveland Clark, Curry Clark, Dillon Lacombe, Dustin Patton, Mekaleb Spencer, and Ketraveon Ford.
