From a young age Dustin was always a Valiant Warrior, as his name means. He accepted Christ as Lord and Savior at a young age. Learning to play the drums he was very musically inclined, gifted in drums, percussion, guitar, and on bass. He tagged along with his father playing at prisons and various events throughout his teenage years. Dustin had a zeal for life that was infectious. He loved his family, spending time with them, and getting pedicures by his princess, Avery. He proudly wore her various colors of sparkly toenail polish since she was old enough to paint. His sons are the light of his life and each display the best parts of him. He loved being the baseball dad, hauling all the stuff during travel ball, and Dixie youth, as well as, football games. He loved to cook, whether on the grill or when making his chicken teriyaki for friends and family. His mother affectionately dubbed him "the barbecue chicken King." His deep love for Holly grew with each passing year.
