Duncan Eric Boyett was born July 10, 1958 in Monroe, Louisiana to the union of his parents, Lee Roy and Hazel Boyett. He passed from this life on February 15, 2020 after bravely battling Leukemia. Duncan was a talented upholsterer and farmed for many years. He loved NASCAR and his Saints, but his greatest love was his family and friends. He treasured his wife of 39 years, his daughters, and lived to spend time with and spoil his granddaughters. Duncan was known for helping others with a smile on his face. He spent countless hours in his workshop building, creating, and fixing for family and friends. Duncan never expected anything in return. He was full of love and laughter, and made everyone feel better about themselves. When you left Duncan's shop, you had a smile on your face. To know Duncan was to love him. He was not only a wonderful father to his girls, but also was a father figure to many in the community. He was known as Pops to his special "sons." Duncan has left a legacy of love, laughter, and memories to treasure for all his special loved ones.
Duncan was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Donnie and Jerry Boyett, sister, Sally Boyett Patrick, and mother-in-law, Louise Mullenix.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Janet Boyett; daughters: Deann Boyett Floyd and Leann Boyett; granddaughters: Hope Parker and Sadie Floyd; brother, Stevie Boyett; sisters: Judy Boyett Gambino, Debbie Boyett Kenworthy (Charles Wayne), and Martha Boyett Graham (Speck); nieces, nephews, and friends far too numerous to name, as well as his special companion - a spoiled rotten, very loving Rottweiler named Little Man.
