Dorothy Faye Potts

Services for Dorothy Faye Lindsey Potts will be held 1:00 PM, Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Outreach Baptist Church with Bro. Duplissey officiating and interment following at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Bienville Parish. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Outreach Baptist Church.

Dorothy Faye Potts was born September 19, 1946 in Jonesboro, LA to the union of her parents, Leonard Lindsey and Syble Truelove Lindsey and passed from this life June 1, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. Dorothy was a member of Outreach Baptist Church where she loved her pastor and church family. Dorothy was a dedicated worker and enjoyed her job as a care giver. She was sweet, caring, confident, and the peacemaker of the family. Dorothy loved everybody but held a special bond with her twin sister, Marjorie. Dorothy enjoyed cooking, cleaning, and spending time with her family. Her faithfulness and loving heart will be treasured and missed forever.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her father; her son, Wayne Lindsey; granddaughter, Donna Torres; and her maternal grandparents, William and Ida Truelove. Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Marie Horton; husband Dan Potts of over forty-two years, sons: Jimmy May JR (Sandy), Prentice May, and Thomas May (Jamie); daughter, Donnie Goodwin; brothers: Charles Horton and Grover Horton; sisters: Marjorie Wages, and Mary Horton; grandchildren: Samantha May, Dylan May, Justin May (Ashley), Misty Roberts (David), April Graham (Jamie), and TJ May; great-grandchildren: Zaylee, BayBay, Aavry, and Westyn; as well as host of family and friends.

Pallbearers include, Justin May, Dylan May, Devon Smith, Trey Wyatt, Buster Duplissey, and Craig Hatten. Honorary Pallbearers are Bobby Truelove and Tony Truelove.
