Funeral services for Dorothy L. Hatten Jones, age 72 of Olla, will be held at 2 PM Thursday, September 12, 2013 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Olla with Bro. Denver McBroom officiating. Interment will follow at Olla Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening at Riser Funeral Home in Olla from 5 PM to 8 PM. Mrs. Jones was born in Olla, LA on August 26, 1941 to the union of Yansey W. and Bernice Dunn Hatten and passed from this life on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Riverside Hospital in Alexandria, LA. She was a homemaker and member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, two children: Brenda Scott and Phillip Scott and two sisters: Venettia Albritton and Ann Winnberry. Survivors include her husband, David Earl Jones of Olla; two sons: Wayne Scott and wife, Dena of Olla and Timmy Jones and wife, Teresa of Shreveport; daughter, Kim Thames and husband, Hoopie of Grayson; brother, Archie "Bud" Hatten and wife, Nellie Ray of Calhoun; two sisters: Marsha Emmons and husband, Fontaine of Sterlington and Jean Jacobs and husband, Joe of Farmerville; grandchildren: Tony Cruse, Amy Bradley, Trevor Scott, Tori Scott, Tanner Jones, Taylor Thames, Corey Bordelon and Kaili Bordelon and three great-grandchildren: Colby Cruse, Casen Talley and Lisette Cruse. Pallbearers will be Tanner Jones, Trevor Scott, Robbie Hosea, Hollywood Douglas, Denny Finley and Ikey Harris.
