Funeral services for Donald Griffin, age 60 and Ann Carroll Griffin, age 55, will be held at 2 PM Friday, November 15, 2013 from the sanctuary of Columbia Heights Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Sandy Bayou Cemetery, east of Columbia. Visitation will be Thursday evening, November 14, 2013 at Columbia Heights Baptist Church from 5 PM to 9 PM. Donald and Ann beloved husband and wife went to their Heavenly home on Tuesday, November 12, 2013. They held many passions in their lives, both enjoyed cooking, Donald was an avid hunter and Ann was the fisherman. Ann was a caregiver in the fullest measure by always taking care of others. Donald enjoyed gardening and entertaining. Both loved each other, their children, grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends. To know them was to love them and be loved by them. Donald was preceded in death by his father, L.D. Griffin, Jr. and brother, George Allen Griffin. Ann was preceded in death by her parents: Carey and Edna Jean Eubanks Carroll and sister, Barbara Beach. Those left to cherish their memories are their children, daughter, Lisa McDougald; two sons: Bryson Griffin and wife, Trina and Timothy Griffin and wife, Laura; Donald's mother, Rosemary Brown Griffin; brothers: L.D.Griffin, III and wife, Sharon, Melvin Carroll, Dennis Carroll and wife, Casey and Steve Carroll; sisters: Elizabeth Holloway and husband, Tommy, Audrey Boone and husband, Ralph, Brenda Beckley and Dianne Twidwell and husband, Ken; grandchildren: Cameron Lee Cassels, Slade McDougald, Taylor Griffin, Ryan McCann, Melani Walker, Shannon Bailey and Joshua Griffin. Pallbearers will be Randy Gilmore, James Shumaker, Roland Garcia, Ryan McCann, Shannon Bailey, Tommy Bergeron, Chester McDougald, Lance Crain, Allen Griffin, Ken Burr, Mike Carroll, Shane Carroll, Jason Carroll, Dr. Mark Meredith, Jr., Michael Meredith, Dr. Colter Gates, Tyler Townsend, James Cook and Luke Griffin. Honorary pallbearers will be Harry Scott Cassels and Cody Brown.
