Dollie R. Love died on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. She was born in Kelly, Louisiana on November 29, 1921, the daughter of David and Julia Roberts. She lived almost all her life in Kelly and Olla, moving to Omaha in 2004 to be near her daughters.
For many years she was a member of the Olla Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and personally visited countless homes in the area, zealously sharing "this good news of the kingdom" with all who listened.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Olla. Visitation is at Riser & Son Funeral Home in Olla on Friday, January 4, from 6 to 8, and following the service on Saturday.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John C. Love, her sisters, Janie Roberts of Olla, Jewel Roberts of West Monroe, Eunice Ford of Pascagoula, MS, and Christine Taylor of Ferriday; and her brothers, Cecil Roberts and Cary Roberts of Olla, and J. D. Roberts of Jena.
Survivors include her son, Jerry Love of Omaha, Nebraska; her daughters, Beverly Love of Maple Grove, Minnesota, and Betty Love of Omaha, Nebraska, and grandchildren Mark Love of Philadelphia, PA, Amy Eriksen of Wallkill, NY, and Janie, Ruby, Claire, and John Hickman of Omaha, Nebraska in addition to many nieces and nephews.
