Funeral services for David O’Neal Hatten age 48 of Olla, LA will be held 12:00 PM on Thursday March 30, 2017 from the Olla chapel of Riser Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery at Gardner, Louisiana. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. David was born on August 10, 1968 at Natchez, Mississippi to the union of his parents O’Neal Hatten and Geraldine Gilliam Hatten and he passed from this life on March 23, 2017 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria following a sudden illness. Those left to cherish a lifetime of memories are his beloved wife and soulfire: Verna Louise Elliott Hatten of Olla, his daughter: Desiree Angel Hatten and son: Derek David Hatten, both of whom he loved with all his heart; his sisters: Theresa Worley, Janet Perkins and Wanda McDaniel; also his extended family whom he also loved so much: his Uncle Johnny and Aunt Ann Gilliam and their children which were like brothers And sisters to him, Donna Stewart, Sandy Lee, Brenda Gilliam, Patsy Gilliam and Johnny Gilliam, Jr. David was loved by all who knew him and he will be sorely missed.
