Memorial services for David Oswald Cruse age 88 of Alexandria will be held 10:00 AM Saturday November 12, 2022 from the sanctuary of Old Catahoula Baptist Church at Enterprise with Rev. Joe Keith Cruse officiating. Friends and family may begin to gather at 9:00 AM at the church.
David Oswald Cruse was born on October 2, 1934 at Sicily Island, Louisiana to the union of his beloved parents, Joseph Clarman Cruse and Mary Grace McKay Cruse, affectionately known by everyone as Mae, as she was a teacher at Enterprise School. Education was instilled in the Cruse Family by David's parents. David served in the United States Air Force but was most proud of his Doctorate Degree in Education he earned from Ole Miss. David was born again in 1988 having become a devoted and faithful servant of his Lord Jesus Christ. His life was exemlified by "Ever Learning, Loving and Living the Bible and Lifted to the Arms of Jesus in 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his loving wife Barbara Cruse.
Surviving David is his daughter, Dr. Julie Breithaupt who earned her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Florida and now resides in Alexandria; his granddaughter, Helen Casey Wilkinson who has a degree in chemical engineering; his beloved sister: Marcia Aplin of Lake Jackson, Texas; his loving brother, Rev. Joe Keith Cruse and wife Carol Faye Cruse of Alexandria; and his nephew, Justin Williams who serves as an Attorney in Corpus Christi, Texas.
