Funeral services for Dale Hendrix will be held 2:00 PM, March 5, 2025, at Bethany Baptist Church with Bro. Doyle Adams officiating and Bro. Billy Lane McClanahan assisting with interment following in Bethany Cemetery under the direction of Riser Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday at Bethany Baptist Church from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Elijah Dale Hendrix, age 72 of Hebert, went to his heavenly home on Friday, February 28, 2025 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe following a brief illness. Dale was born to the union of his parents, Elijah Hiram Hendrix and Bobbye Mae Hendrix. Dale worked in the Oil Field as a Directional Driller and retired after fifty years with Halliburton. He enjoyed going to the ballparks and cheering on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren play football, basketball, baseball, and softball. Dale was a loving husband, grandfather and friend. Dale is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kimberley Hendrix; brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Laurel Hendrix; his sweet daughter-in-law, Tessa Hendrix; and a brother-in-law, Glynn Poole. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of thirty years Sheila (Breeze) Hendrix; son Shannon Dale Hendrix (Jamie); bother, Edmon Glenn (Gunny) Hendrix (Carla); sister, Rhonda Ratcliff (Ricky); sister-in-law, Alison Housely, and Leighnae Poole; brother-in-law, Clark Poole; grandchildren, Cole Hendrix (Savannah), Cameron Hendrix, Cohen Hendrix, Lexi Hendrix, Aaliyah Thomas, Macy Franks (Trey), Breanna Cheatwood (Zach); six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Harry and Sabrina Swedlund, and Joebob Brewster; as well as many more friends from the Oil Field.
Pallbearers will include Cole Hendrix, Cameron Hendrix, Cohen Hendrix, Drew Frazier, Jon Cader, T.G. Hendrix, and Colby Laird. Honorary pallbearers include Ricky Ratcliff, Will Whitman, and numerous friends and co-workers throughout the years.
