Cynthia Lynn Howard

Cynthia Oakes Howard was born August 2, 1962 in Kosciusko, MS to the union of her parents Charles Philip Oakes and Glenda Ann Hunt, and passed from this life April 11, 2020 in Alexandria, LA. Cynthia was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She spent her life taking care of her family. She loved and cherished her grandkids. Cynthia was preceded in death by her father, Charles Philip Oakes; her son, Shawn Anthony Howard and her nephew, James Edward Thacker. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Roy Howard of Columbia, LA; her son' Brandon Oakes and wife Tracey of Jena, LA; her two daughters: Serena Travis and husband James of Columbia, LA, and Lisa Rials and husband Thomas of Winnsboro, LA; her mother, Glenda Hunt of Jena, LA, and sister, Susan Thacker of Jena, LA. Her grandkids: Ethan Gossett, Brayden Oakes, Andria Gossett, Peyton Oakes, Daelynn Travis, and Bryce Oakes, as well as her nephews and great-nephews. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Terry Johnson, Juan Thacker Jr., Jarred McGuffee, Allen Brown, Roland Garcia, and Roland Garcia, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Josh Thacker, Jason Thacker, and Jared Thacker. A private service for family will be held April 15, 2020 at Burroughs Cemetery, Columbia.
