Cleora Cassels

Services for Mrs. Cleora Holmes Cassels, age 97 of Rosefield will be 11 AM Friday, December 12, 2008 from the sanctuary of Rosefield Baptist Church in Rosefield with Rev. Harrell Tucker and Shelby Holmes officiating. Interment will follow at Rosefield Cemetery. Visitation will be at Rosefield Baptist Church on Thursday, December 11, 2008 from 4 PM to 9 PM. Mrs. Cassels was born on January 5, 1911 in Catahoula Parish to the union of Lawson Morrow and Agnes Volentine Holmes and passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2008 at LaSalle General Hospital in Jena. She was a member of Rosefield Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Oliver D. Cassels, six sisters; Eula H. Waggoner, Lola Gough, Roberta Poole, Rowena Adams, Ira Cassels and Eunice Douglas, two brothers; Lewis Holmes and Alfred Holmes, three grandchildren; Sherry Cassels, Jerry Wayne Cassels and Sheri Coleen Cassels and great grandchild; Kassie Franklin. Survivors include her three daughters; Shirley Tullos and her husband, Rex of Grayson, Frances Kitterlin of Jena and Marlene Randall and her husband, Clois of Rosefield, two sons; DeWayne Cassels and his wife, Gerry of Enterprise and Dennis L. Cassels and his wife, Laura of Rosefield, fifteen grandchildren and thirty-nine great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Max Tullos, Kevin Tullos, Darryl Kitterlin, Derek Kitterlin, Jeremy Cassels, Mike Cassels, David Cassels and Wayne Spence.
