Cicero Marvin Fluitt

Graveside services for Marvin Fluitt of West Monroe will be held at 2 PM at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson, LA on Saturday, February 4, 2012. Mr. Fluitt was born on July 2, 1937 in Columbia, LA and passed from this life on Wednesday, February 1, 2012. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Cicero and Lois Fluitt. He is survived by his wife, Janice Fluitt, son, Chris & Gara Fluitt, daughters, Kim & Brad King, Julie & David Worley and Angelia Olsen, step-children Rhonda & George Recktenwald, Edward & Becky McChesney, David & Amee Osbon and Terry McChesney including 18 grandchildren & 8 great-grandchildren. Marvin retired from DOTD, Office of Highways and worked several years thereafter for the City of Monroe's Project Management section. Pallbearers will be the Old Gang from 205: Michael "Goober" Ultzsch, Jimmy Hogland, George Joiner, John P. Rieger, J.P. Rieger and Doug Greer. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to children's charities.
