Funeral services for Chris Travis, age 40, of Grayson, will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Pleasant Grove Church of God in Grayson with Bro. Aaron Ricks and Bro. Larry Adkins officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson. Visitation will be Thursday from 8:00 AM until service time at the church. Chris was born April 13, 1972 to Kenneth Travis and Linda Travis in West Monroe and he passed from this life on January 26, 2013 in Jena. He was a log truck driver who worked for Adkins Logging Company. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved his family very much and loved to work. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Victor Travis and Mr. and Mrs. Fred McManus. Survivors include his wife: Jeanna Travis of Grayson; two daughters: Taylor McKenzie and Hannah Elizabeth Travis; two sons: Kodie Brent Hyde and Tristan Shane Hyde; father: Kenneth Travis and stepmother Gloria Travis of West Monroe; mother: Linda Travis of Monroe; sister: Rhonda Stites and her husband Jeff of Monroe; father and mother-in-law: Edward and Shirley Jarrett of Grayson; brothers-in-laws: Eddie Jarrett and his wife Melissa; Jeremiah Jarrett and his wife Nicole; sister-in-law: Julie Flores and her husband Greg; nephews: Jock Flores, Joe Jarrett, Rhett Jarrett, Caul Flores, and Bleu Flores; nieces: Alisha Jarrett, Cheyenne Flores, Morgan Flow, Paige Jarrett, Mattie Flores, , Rose Jarrett, Lilly Jarrett, Kayla Michelle Stites, and Ashley Danielle Stites. Pallbearers will be William Adkins, Jimmy Stapleton, Charles Coates, Steely Smith, Toby Esters, Joey Kirkham, Mike Hogg, and Josh Love. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jock Flores, Kodie Hyde, and Tristan Hyde. Isaiah 1-18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson; they shall be as wool.
