Funeral services for Charles E. Reitzell age 83 of Columbia will be held 3pm Tuesday Feb. 23,2010 from the Columbia Chapel of Riser Funeral Home with Rev. Stewart Sherman officiating. Interment will follow in the Columbia Hill Cemetery. Visitation for Tuesday will be from 11:00am until time of service. Charles Edwin Reitzell was born on June 14, 1926 at Monroe to the union of Frank Varner Reitzell, Jr. and Frances Bernice Welch Reitzell . He passed from this life suddenly at home on Sunday Feb.21, 2010. Charles was a Veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was very proud of the service he rendered for his country. He was a retired employee with the United States Postal Service having served as a rural letter carrier here in Caldwell Parish for many years specifically Rural Route One. He was loved by all who knew him and appreciated for his accommodating spirit and friendliness. Survivors include: His wife: Rose Watts Reitzell. Two daughters: Kay White and husband Clayton of West Monroe and Karyn Wise and husband Darryl of El Dorado. Two grandchildren: Miranda Crowell and Charles Wise. Two brothers: Frank V. Reitzell of Bastrop and Richard E. Reitzell of Monroe. Serving as pallbearers will be: Clayton White, Steve May, Raymond Crowell, Charles Simons, Ken Brockner, Scott Meredith, Chris White, and Eugene Dunn.
