Charles Gary Poole was born May 2, 1957 in Columbia, Louisiana to the union of his parents, Ernest Lavere Poole and Kate Lena Roark Poole and passed from this life January 19, 2024 at his residence. Buddy was a down to earth funny guy that worked hard and loved to pick and carry on. He started Charles Poole Hauling Contractors Inc. with one truck. That one truck made eight loads (then the motor blew) but he didn't give up, he just worked through it and make a successful business for twenty-seven years. Buddy served on the LaSalle Parish Police Jury from 2005 to 2020, loved God, his family (especially Hunter and Hadley), and his friends. After buddy's health got worse he enjoyed the friends that stopped by to reminisce about old times after he couldn't work anymore. Buddy was an avid hunter, a Harley rider, and a pool shark. Buddy's CB handle was "Dough Boy" but he quickly got a new handle after retirement. He was known as a "cheater" to his fellow Rook players. Buddy will be missed but the memories made will last forever. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: Alford Poole, Enoch Poole, Bennie Poole, Clifford Poole; sisters: Nelda Mitchan, Kay Wells, and Ineta Brodnax. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of fifty years, Judy Franklin Poole; son, Bradley Poole (Shelley); his grandchildren, Hunter and Hadley Poole; brother, Billy Poole; sisters: Jakki Richardson, Beth Coleman, and Sissy Beckley.
