Charles McClanahan

Funeral services for Mr. Charles K. McClanahan, 61, of Hebert, will be held 10 AM Friday, July 1, 2011 at Bethany Baptist Church in Hebert with Rev. Billy McClanahan officiating. Visitation is at the church Thursday evening from 5 to 8pm. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Services are under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Charles was born February 9, 1950 to Ruby and Annie Hall McClanahan in Columbia and he passed from this life on June 30, 2011 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in Monroe. He was a retired offshore motorman and he loved to fish. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Lois Goings and Ouida McClanahan. Survivors include his son: Ryan McClanahan of Columbia; four brothers: R.B. McClanahan, G.W. McClanahan, Isaac McClanahan, and Dan McClanahan; six sisters: Laura Bell Pardue, Edna Godwin, Vera Wood, Maxine Duchesne, Margie Roberts, and Gwen Brown; one grandchild: Cade McClanahan.
