Funeral services for Charles "Chuck" Masoner, age 87, of Columbia, will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Columbia Heights Baptist Church with Bro. Warren Maxwell and Bro. Bruce McGee officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the church. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson. Arrangements are being handled by Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Chuck was born March 1, 1928 to the union of Joseph and Dena Randall Masoner in Olla and he passed from this life on July 30, 2015 at Citizens Medical Center in Columbia. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired from Louisiana Power and Light in 1987. He was a Deacon at Columbia Heights Baptist Church. He was a devout Christian and loved serving the Lord. He was a loving father and husband. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Louise Masoner Turner; brother: Henry Masoner. He is survived by his wife of 59 years: Dottie Berry Masoner of Columbia; two sons: Mike Masoner and his wife Pam of West Monroe; Johnny Masoner and his wife Cathy of Killen, AL; two daughters: Theresa Masoner Weber and her husband David of Baton Rouge; Sherry Masoner Oram and her husband Mike of Columbia; sister: Lola Masoner DuBose and her husband Marvin "M.B."; grandchildren: Shea Masoner and his wife Anita; Jarrod Masoner and his wife Kristin; Chris Oram, Caleb Masoner and his wife Ashley, Devin Masoner, Landyn Masoner, Kaylee Foy and her husband Nick, Hannah Sinclair and her husband Dustin, Justin Weber and Thomas Weber and his wife, Mallory; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 extended great- grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Shea Masoner, Jarrod Masoner, Chris Oram, Caleb Masoner, Devin Masoner, Landyn Masoner, Justin Weber, and Thomas Weber. Honorary pallbearers will be Justice and Jayden Masoner. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Columbia Heights Baptist Church building fund.
