Charlene Perot

Funeral services for Charlene Perot will be held 12:00, Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, La with interment following at Perot Cemetery under the direction of Riser Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 8:15 AM until time of service at 12:00.

Charlene Perot was born March, 4, 1954 in Monroe, La to the union of her parents, Harold Caraway and Myrtle Green Caraway and passed from this life August 13, 2023 at her residence following a brief illness. Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jerry Perot; and two sisters, Sue Perot and Vickie Gibson.

To know Charlene was to love her. She was always smiling when you saw her. She loved her family and always made sure they was taken care of. Charlene always put others before herself. She enjoyed her morning coffee, cooking, cleaning, and feeding the hummingbirds. She also enjoyed family gatherings, gossiping, puzzle books, and going to the Casino.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Tracy Perot Smith (Rodney); sons: Jerry Wayne Perot, Terry Dale Perot; brother, Gene Caraway (Judy); sister, Lynn Hall (Dave); grandchildren: Bobby Perot, Blake Perot, Morgan Perot, Trystan Perot, Destiny Perot, Mackenzie Howard (Josh), Autumn Smith; her bird, "Rue" and her dog, "Marley".

Serving as pallbearers is Colt Hall, David Perot, Trevor Olivo, Dustin Perot, Blake Perot, and Brian Perot.
