Carey McBroom

Funeral services for Mr. Carey Lee "Boonie" McBroom, age 52 of Urania, will be held at 10 AM Sunday, January 31, 2010 from the sanctuary of Urania Pentecostal Church in Urania with Rev. Clay Hutto officiating. Interment will follow in Urania Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday evening at the church from 5 PM to 9 PM. Mr. McBroom was born in Ferriday on June 10, 1957 to the union of the late L.C. McBroom and the late Corinne Bennett McBroom and passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at his residence. Boonie enjoyed hunting and fishing and Harley motorcycles. Survivors include his wife, Paula Sellers McBroom of Urania, son; Joshua McBroom of Urania, daughter; Jada McBroom of Urania, brother; Charles McBroom of Tullos, two sisters: Pat Bordelon and Dee Wiley both of Olla and his three grandchildren who were his pride and joy: Trystan McBroom, Corbin Cahoon and Courtney Cahoon and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jerry Nugent, Randy Franklin, Mark London, Carl Castille, Dewayne Ford, Sam Tidwell and James Banes.
