Riser Funeral Home Olla,LA Funeral services for Mrs. Bronis (Miles) Martin, age 87, of Tullos, will be held 10AM Tuesday, January 12, 2010 from the First Baptist Church of Tullos with the Reverend's Gary Wright and Scott Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the New Union Cemetery at Tullos with services under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla. Visitation will be on Monday evening at the funeral home from 4pm until 8pm in Olla. Bronis (Miles) Martin was born on May 4, 1922 in Urania, LA and passed from this life on January 8, 2010 at Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield following an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Willard O. Martin, her parents: Houston Claude Miles and Elma Mae Weems Miles. She was also preceded by one sister and four brothers. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tullos and a retired teacher with the Lasalle Parish School System. Survivors include: One son: Mickey Martin and wife, Deborah Joan, of Texarkana, TX. Two daughters: Ernestine Brewer of Olla, and Margaret Barmann of Shreveport. One brother: Jack S. Miles, of Texas. Seven grandchildren and eleven great- grandchildren.
