Britt Cole Gilliam

Funeral Services for Britt Gilliam will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Pinehill Baptist Church in Olla, Louisiana, with Bro. Chris Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Chickasaw Cemetery under the direction of Riser Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, April 25, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Pinehill Baptist Church.

Britt Cole Gilliam was born February 4, 1999, in Alexandria, Louisiana, to the union of his parents, Johnny Wayne Gilliam and Kristi Walters Gilliam, and he passed from this life tragically on April 21, 2025. Britt was a character for sure. He was a hard working, fun loving, down to earth country boy. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Britt cherished his wife and kids with all his heart. He enjoyed calling his parents to come over for supper, fishing and hunting with his brother, and just pestering them. Britt was always joking around, cutting up and bringing laughs to everyone's faces. He liked going to the dirt track races and hanging out. Britt was preceded in death by his paternal papaw, Johnny M Gilliam; maternal great-grandparents, Worth "Papaw" and Maxine "Granny" Walters; cousin, Logan Franklin; aunt and uncle, Sheila and Martin Young; and his father-in-law, Barry White. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Catherine Gilliam; children, Waylon Cole and Lainey Grace; parents, Johnny and Kristi Gilliam;  brother, Tristan Gilliam (Magan); sister, Maleah Gilliam; maternal grandparents, Lois "Mamaw" and Lanny "Papaw" Walters; paternal grandmother, "Mamaw" Ann Gilliam; aunts and uncles, Donna Stewart (Buck), Pat Perkins (Richard), Dee Dee Gilliam, Sandy Lee and special aunt and uncle, Selena "Nene" and John "Double J" Jameson; aunt, Alaina Chisholm (Ethan); brother-in-law, Barry "Doodle" White; sister-in-law, Caresse Grice (Cody); mother-in-law, Sherie Antley; cousins: JP, Jacob, Lilly, and Kasey, as well as a host of other family and friends. 

Pallbearers will include Tristan Gilliam, John Jameson, JP Jameson, Jacob Jameson, Kyle Birdsall, Kasey Stewart, and Jared Newton. Honorary pallbearers are Maleah Gilliam, Alaina Chisholm, Lilly Jameson, and Jontarrius "JJ" Cheffin.
