Funeral services for Mr. Brett Eric Mauterer, age 39 of Rayville, will be held at 10AM Wednesday, July 22, 2009 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Olla with Bro. Eddie Riley officiating. Interment will follow at Olla Cemetery in Olla. Visitation will be Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Olla from 5PM to 9PM. Eric was born on January 7, 1970 in New Orleans to the union of Daryl Patrick and Carolyn Parker Mauterer Stagg and passed from this life on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Morehouse General Hospital in Bastrop. He was the manager of Bastrop Tire. He was preceded in death by his father; Daryl Patrick Mauterer, paternal grandparents: Dr. O.P. and Grace Mauterer and maternal grandfather; James Ted Parker, and cousin; Steven Wilmore. Survivors include his wife; Christina Marble Mauterer of Rayville, mother; Carolyn Mauterer Stagg and husband, Paul W. of Madisonville, maternal grandmother; Majorie W. Parker, two daughters: Kelsey White and Christa Marble both of Rayville, brother; Christopher Patrick Mauterer of Georgetown, step-brother; Reuben Posey of Austin, TX, step-sister; Lorie Stagg Jacobs and husband, Rick of Dallas, TX, niece/godchild; Taylor Mae Mauterer, special aunt; Mildred Parker Wilmore and husband, Johnnie W., two special cousins: Nancy Lachney and Deborah DeSoto and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers will be Norton Roussel, Jason Baldassaro, Michael Daul, Jr., Keith Cazaux, Ricky Hebert and Rusty Patrick. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul VonDiezelsky, Dr. Aurthur Mauterer and Dr. K.P. Mauterer.
