Funeral services for Boyce A. "Bob" Pardue age 78 of Kelly will be held 2:30 PM Tuesday March 3, 2015 from the Columbia chapel of Riser Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Aguillard officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Bethel Cemetery at Clarks. Visitation will be on Monday March 2, 2015 at the funeral home from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Boyce Aaron Pardue, known by everyone as "Bob",was born on January 7, 1937 at Marion, LA to the union of his parents, Andrew Dewey Pardue and Linne Eva Graves Pardue; and he passed from this life on Saturday February 28, 2015 at the St. Francis Medical Center, Downtown Campus following a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his first wife: Betty Taylor Pardue, and by his brother in law: Wilbur Taylor. Bob retired as a Operations Engineer having worked on numerous gas pipelines throughout the country. After retirement he went to work with the Caldwell Parish Sheriffs office and worked there for the last nineteen years. Bob was a farmer, cattleman, hunter, had a great love for animals and for people, and that love was returned greatly. Bob also served in the United States Army and was a member of Kelly Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife: Evelyn Grant Pardue of Kelly; his son: Bobby Pardue and wife, Donna Collins Pardue of Kelly, his stepsons: Samuel Greenwood and wife, Gail of Kelly, and Randy Greenwood of Kelly; his daughter: Jenea Clark and husband, Timothy Clark of Kelly, and his stepdaughter: Kathryn Naquin and husband, Jim of Urania; his grandchildren: Clayton Pardue, Stephanie Pardue, Dustin Clark, Brittany Clark Rider, and Colton Clark; two brothers: Jerry Pardue and wife, Susie of Caldwell, Texas and Elton Pardue and wife, Susan of Farmerville; two sisters: Annette Daniels and husband, Jerry of Farmerville and Sylvia Jean Wimberly and Powell McAlpin of Monroe; his brothers and sisters-in-law: Buddy and Ethyl James, Bill and Mary Taylor, and Charles "Rabbit" Taylor and Pat Taylor and Frances Taylor. Pallbearers include Michael Wimberly, John Taylor, John Rider, Rob Taylor, Todd Williams, Roddy Pardue, Eddie James, Larry Adams, Dustin Hatten and Lee Scribner. Honorary pallbearers include Clarence Moore, Max Evans, Huey Bonner, Glen Grant, Mickey Hillman,Bud Kinnison, Sheriff Steve May and the entire Caldwell Parish Sheriffs Department.
