Bobby Brazzell

Funeral services for Bobby Joe Brazzell, age 73 of Olla, LA, will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Winnfield, LA with Bro. Ed Smith officiating and Bro. Randy Douglas delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, January 26, 2015 at Riser Funeral Home, Olla, LA from 5 PM to 8 PM then again on Tuesday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church from 10 AM until time of services. Mr. Brazzell was born on November 5, 1941 in Winnfield, LA to the union of Floyd M. and Leora Gorham Brazzell and passed from this life on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Hardtner Medical Center Urania, LA. He retired after 30 years from teaching in the Terrebonne and Winn Parishes. He was an avid outdoorsman having enjoyed fishing and deer and quail hunting with his birddogs. There was no greater man as a grandfather. He truly and deeply loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 36 years, Gloria Brazzell; daughters: Kim Stott and husband, John and Angie Palmer and husband, John all of Olla; brother, Jimmy Brazzell and wife, Karen; sister, Janice Hand and husband, C.H. both of Winnfield; grandchildren: Eric Stott and wife, Patty, Sheena Stott, Michael Kirkham, Shane Stott and Charlene Stott; great-grandchildren: Gabriel Stott, Dominic Stott, Evan Armstrong and Brennan Armstrong. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Brazzell, Jeremy Brazzell, Justin Brazzell, Trey Hand, Henry Ross and Joey Guess. Honorary pallbearers will be Melvin Williams and Buster Finley.
