Billy Ray Long

Billy Ray Long, age 87 of Columbia, was born on April 29, 1935, at Columbia, LA to the union of his parents, J D Long and Lora Griggs Long, and he passed from this life on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister, Rita Bolton. Billy loved hunting ducks, riding horses, watching baseball and John Wayne movies. He loved dogs and horses.

Left to cherish his memory are three sons, Todd Long, Toby Long and wife Amy, and Tim Long; a sister, Betty Simmons, and his beloved grandchildren, Hunter Long, Caroline Long, Dominic Long, Dylan Long, Chandler Davis and Savannah Long.

Celebration of Life and Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at 4:00 PM from the Columbia chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Duke officiating. The Long Family will receive visitors on Sunday, July 17, 2022, from 1:00 PM to time of service at 4:00 PM.
