Funeral services for Billy G. Ellis, 51, of Columbia, will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Columbia First Baptist Church with Bro. Rick Crandall and Bro. Eric Harriman officiating. Interment will follow at Crossroads Cemetery in Grayson. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Columbia First Baptist Church. Services are under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Billy was born August 1, 1961 to Chester Ray and Louise Meador Ellis in Columbia, and he passed from this life on December 26, 2012 at his residence in Columbia. He was an outstanding farmer having farmed in Caldwell Parish for over 25 years. He served as President of Farm Bureau and served as a member of the National Cotton Council. He was a graduate of Northeast Louisiana University. Billy was a member of Grayson Baptist Church where he attended with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife: Dena Warner Ellis of Columbia; son: Collin Warner Ellis of Ruston; daughter: C.J. Dilley and her husband Jerry of Columbia; brother: Bobby Ellis and his wife Christie of West Monroe; two sisters: Sharon Rogers and her husband Dwight of Columbia; Karen Dembrosky and her husband Robert of Grayson; three grandchildren: Cadence Dilley, Warner Dilley, and Ella Dilley; Numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Shane Hart, Drew Keahey, Barry Bush, Randy Rentz, Wilbur Rucker, Mike Estes, Bob Frazier, and Jamie Duff. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dwight Rogers, Brandon Rogers, Greg Broussard, Diane May, J.M. Duplissey, Matt Middleton, Gene Dixon, Willis Tatum, Neil Riser, and Buddy Page.
