Services for Bill Bailey will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Riser Funeral Home in Olla, LA. Visitation will be held from 8:00 AM until time of service at 10:00.

Marion Owen "Bill" Bailey was born in September 9, 1959, in Baton Rouge, LA to to the union of his parents John Smith Bailey and Zella Jean Jenkins Bailey and passed from this life at his residence August 26, 2023. Bill was always a hard worker and he lived life to the fullest. Bill was a true country boy who enjoyed the outdoors. He liked hunting, fishing, listening to music, and watching westerns. Bill's passion was bull riding. He did it for many years, and made lots of memories. He wasn't scared of anything. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Hubert Maloy. Those left to cherish his memory are his brother, Mark Bailey (Madge); sister, Margaret Maloy; step-son, Kodie Hawkes (Jennifer); step-daughter, Kimber Hawkes; niece, Sophia Sullivan (Brian); nephews: John Maloy, Mike Maloy (Samantha), Tim Maloy (Heather); great-nieces: Emory Sullivan, Michaela Maloy, Mykenzie Maloy; great-nephews: Lucas Sullivan, Bryce Maloy; grandchildren, Kurt Hawkes, Garrett Hawkes, Jessica Hawkes Darden, Reese Stuart; step-great-grandchildren: Asher Darden, Tristan Darden, Reagan Darden; and his dear friend, Sheila Bailey.

Serving as pallbearers are Terry Ranton, Jeff Kennon, John Maloy, Mike Maloy, Tim Maloy, JB Ruddell, Travis Brown, and Brian Sullivan.
