Funeral services for Mrs. Betty (Kees) McClary age 83 of Columbia,LA will be held 11AM Wednesday November 18,2009 from the Crossroads Baptist Church at Grayson with the Rev. Tommy Nelson officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Bethel Cemetery at Clarks under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. The McClary Family will receive guests on Tuesday evening from 5PM to 7PM at the Riser Funeral Home located at 7131 U S Hwy 165 ,Columbia. Betty (Kees) McClary was born on June 27, 1926 at Georgetown, LA and passed from this life on November 14,2009 at the Medical City in Dallas ,Texas following a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of Caldwell Parish, and was preceded in death by her parents Isham Kees and Lizzie Mae (Kirkland) Kees , also her husband Eddie McClary. She was an active member of the Crossroads Baptist Church. Survivors include: Her daughters: Suzanne Dagger and husband Tony, of Plano, TX; Madeline McDonald and Jack B. Jr. of Monroe, two grand daughters: Lindsey and Lauren . Her brother: Richard Kees of LaMarque, TX; and two sisters: Wetona Peters of Georgetown and Janie Vincent of Colleyville, TX. She also leaves behind her beloved feline companion "Sugar". Betty was a special mom, grandmother, sister, and friend; and she will be missed by all who loved her. In lieu of flowers any planned memorials may be made to the Crossroads Baptist Church Building Fund, or to a charity of ones choice.
