Betty Jean Campbell

Funeral services for Betty Jean Campbell, age 88 of Grayson, Louisiana, will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 10, 2023, from the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home, Columbia with Bro. Shane Duke officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery, Grayson. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home prior to the service on Sunday from 11 AM until 2 PM.

Betty Jean Campbell was born in Columbia, Louisiana on May 22, 1935, to the union of her parents, Charlie Wilson Campbell and Mona Lee Girod Campbell, and she passed from this life to her heavenly home on September 8, 2023, after a brief illness. Betty loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews who knew her fondly as Auntie. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, John Thomas Boyd.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Peggy Boyd; nieces and nephews: Melinda Ballard (Seburn), Diane May (Mark), Michael Boyd (Charlotte), Tammie Bates (Michael Joe), and Amanda McKenney (Paul); numerous great-nieces and nephews and great-great nephews. She had two special sisters of her heart, Ms. Mamye and Ms. Mary Beth.

Serving as pallbearers will be Seburn Ballard, Mark May, Michael Joe Bates, Paul McKenney, Robert Cotten, and Jarrod Wallace. Honorary pallbearer will be C. H. Boyd.
